APV Blister Course on the Future of Blister Packaging

Over two days, experts from academia and industry came together to discuss current developments and challenges in pharmaceutical blister packaging. The program covered a broad range of topics, from regulatory requirements and sustainable packaging concepts to high-barrier materials, processing technologies, model-based blister selection and quality testing.
A particular focus was placed on the transition towards more sustainable blister packaging and the challenges this brings in terms of material selection, barrier properties, processability and regulatory compliance. The presentations offered different perspectives from across the pharmaceutical packaging field and provided plenty of room for discussion and exchange.
The course also included a visit to the Innovation Center and opportunities for networking, allowing participants to continue discussions beyond the presentations.
We were very pleased to contribute to the course and would like to thank all speakers and participants for their contributions, the interesting discussions and the open exchange throughout the two days.
